Activity – Adult Group
For adults who are autistic, neurodivergent, awaiting diagnosis, have a learning disability and or complex need.
Activity
Adult Group are a wonderful, amazing group of adults aged 25 years +, they meet at the Finlay Cooper Centre every Thursday, (there are some exceptions, due to major holiday’s etc, such as Christmas) the group consists of a mixture of male and female participants all with a range of individualised neurodiverse traits, they decide in advance what their sessions will look like as a group, this could be a day out trekking to baking cookies at the Finlay Cooper Centre, TS3 6EN.
This group is amazing, they problem solve together, work together to get the best possible outcomes for the whole group and give each other the time and space to feel comfortable within the group.
Adult Group, solve their own internal issues whether that’s deciding on their next outing to working out how much a trip is going to cost, then setting out a budget and managing the outing.
They recently did a sponsored walk and raised hundreds for their group, this then provides them with an opportunity to think BIG for their next adventure, during the holidays they visited Whitby and enjoyed fish and chips at the harbour side.
And of course who doesn’t like a little bit of retail therapy, Christmas see’s the group heading to the Metro for those last minute Christmas gifts.

Thursday’s 5.30pm – 8:30pm (every week of the year, there are some special bank holidays such as Christmas where MAIN will be closed)
